Annie Solonika

She/Her

Yoga Teacher & Fascial Stretch Therapist

Annie has been teaching fitness classes since early 2009. She loves giving people the time and space to move their bodies, and enjoy themselves while doing it. She discovered yoga while attending a community college. Liked it, but didn't get "hooked" until a few years later. She completed her 200 hour Yoga teacher training at Yoga Bhoga in Portland, Oregon with Sarah Trelease early 2013 and has been teaching, and learning, ever since.

Around that time, she also started looking into different bodywork professions, knowing that there was something out there that would resonate with her the most. She found it after going in for a session of Fascial Stretch Therapy and quickly afterwards signed up for training. She completed all three Levels offered by the end of 2015 and has been "stretching people" ever since. Annie loves that with each person who comes in for a stretch or yoga class, she gets to learn something because every body (and mind) has their own history, and each body structure and tissues will be different from the next.

Intelligent movement.

Yoga doesn't need to be stuffy. Yoga can be joyful, unique, supportive, calming, energizing, strengthening, mobilizing, balancing, peaceful, stress relieving...and so much more. What spoke out the most to Annie with Yoga was that anyone can do it. There is more to yoga than just the physical practice, and within practicing there are adjustments and ways for every body and mind to find movement and support.

Aside from teaching Yoga, fitness classes and her Fascial Stretch Therapy business Annie lives in West Salem with her partner Jarrod, and their two little girls - Lilac and Poppy. As a family they enjoy camping, hiking and exploring. Annie is also deep into training for her first Ironman 70.3 in July 2022. It's been a fun and challenging journey which makes her step out of her comfort zone on the daily and also onto the mat daily to keep her body and mind as healthy, strong and mobile as possible.
