Cancelled: Collective Snowshoe

  • Resonance Yoga Collective 393 State St. Suite 210 Salem United States (map)

We are very sorry but due to the weather forecast for the pass tomorrow we are cancelling the Collective Snowshoe. If you were registered, please check your email for full details. We look forward to future Collective gatherings.

Winter gathering with Mikki, Chantal & this collective!

You’re invited to join us out in the snow for a collective snowshoe adventure at Potato Hill. We’ll leave Salem around 9am (carpooling will be an option). Bring a lunch!

About the trail:

Potato Hill Sno-Park:

  • Jack Pine Road Trail 3.4 miles total. The first half is an uphill slog with options to pause at a few beautiful viewpoints & eat lunch. Those who would like are welcome to continue heading uphill for an additional .6 miles to the summit of Potato Hill (steepest part). Then we’ll all head back down the hill together. The way back is fully downhill.

This is a great introduction to snowshoeing but please note that it is more strenuous than hiking is. Partway through our hike, we will stop and have lunch with a view!

Responsible adventuring:

  1. Everyone must carry a pack with these things:

    1. Bring 2L water & a hearty lunch.

    2. Warm layers. Lunch in the snow might be cold when we aren’t moving. So be sure your pack has room to carry your extra layers because you’ll probably get fairly warm while snowshoeing.

    3. Mittens/gloves/hand warmers.

    4. Bring a lunch!

  2. Bring your own snow shoes & trekking poles. (You can rent snow shoes at Salem Summit for $15. Be sure to contact them a week ahead of time.)

  3. Pack it in, pack it out! Your garbage goes with you.

  4. Please be sure your boots are waterproof. No one wants cold feet.

  5. Gaiters to prevent snow getting in your boots, or bring an extra pair of socks!

  6. Sno-park parking permit for the vehicles that are driving. We’ll coordinate a carpool.

Space is limited to 12 participants so we don’t overcrowd the trail.

All collective gatherings are free :) We just like to hangout and celebrate this community with you.
