Your Nervous System & Restorative Yoga

This workshop counts Yoga Alliance continuing education credits. 3 hours of onsite training and 6 hours of offsite training (if you choose to do the offsite portion)


Join Chantal for a workshop that dives into the incredible human nervous system. All are welcome!

Your body is a living story of your life experiences! This workshop will help you understand what is happening within and how simple practices can help soften patterned responses so that we can live more relaxed and engaged in life.

We’ll discuss a few components of this complex inner-ecosystem:

  • The different roles of the sympathetic/para-sympathetic nervous systems and how to create balance so we can engage in life with full energy.

  • How to identify what state your body is experiencing and how your life experiences impact your body’s responses in every day life.

  • Discover how your vestibular system impacts your nervous system and sensations of anxiety. (The body function that detects the position and movement of our head in space. Which relates to coordination of eye movements, posture, and equilibrium)

  • How to use your breath and other simple at home tools to help balance the nervous system.

Mixed within the discussion time we will explore exercises to support a balance nervous system. Then we’ll move into a vestibular focused gentle yoga practice that leads into a full length restorative yoga practice to discover how it can help release layers of stress through gentle support.
